Dusk to Dawn 2024
Softball Tournament and BBQ
Throughout her life, Dawn Re was always game for any kind of endurance challenge to raise money for the fight against cancer. Whether it was riding a bike 111 miles in Tucson, playing softball in the snow, or staying up all night walking in circles around the track, she always attacked each event with a smile and the thought “How can I make this fun?” That was the inspiration behind “Dusk to Dawn,” an all-night softball marathon and barbecue.
Teams participating in the tournament will be assigned a game slot to compete against "Dawn's team." (Yes, Dawn's team will play all night!) The team that scores the most runs in a win against Dawn's team will win the tourney! It's that simple.
The event is scheduled to run from 5:00pm on Friday September 6th until 7:00am (depending on the number of teams that sign up/show up) on Saturday morning September 7th. 14 hours of Coed softball -- playing with wood bats and the 16” Chicago style softball.
We will be playing at the New Castle Recreation Field, 200 South Greeley Avenue, Chappaqua, New York.
The donation to enter your team is $1,000. (However, for game slots starting after 11:01pm on Friday night (through Saturday morning), the donation to enter your team is only $800.) There are only 14 spots available; registration is on a first come, first served basis. Each game will have a strict 1 hour time limit.
Players must be at least 17 years old to participate in this event. (Players younger than 18 must have a parent sign the consent/waiver form).
To register your team, please send a check made payable to "Dawn's Ray of Hope" along with your team registration form (see link to the right) and roster to:

We do need some "night owls!" Everyone wants an "early slot." But we need opponents/teams/players all night. Stay up late (or get up early) for charity!
Don't have a team but want to play? No problem! Enter as a single player (the fee will be $100 per player) and we will put together a team for you! Email us to let us know how you'd like to participate.
Don't play softball but want to help? Again, no problem! We are looking for a variety of volunteers to make this event run smoothly.
And whether you play softball or not, please come on down to watch the games and enjoy the barbecue!
Sponsorship opportunities are available and welcome. (See link to the right.)
