Mondays Matter

At Quaker Hill Tavern - 2018

On Monday, June 11, 2018, Dawn's Ray of Hope was again behind the bar at Quaker Hill Tavern (Chappaqua, NY) serving up some food and drinks to raise money for our charity. The turnout was amazing and your Dawn's Ray of Hope bartenders were certainly very busy! We thank you all for your support.

Evan's Team

Dodgeball Tourney

On July 24, 2018, Dawn's Team branched out, trading our 16" Chicago style softballs for dodgeballs, and participating in the Evan's Team Golf & Tennis (and dodgeball) outing and fundraiser. We first and foremost want to say that the event itself was a great success for Evan's Team and congratulate them on another amazing event.  But we cannot help but point out that Dawn's Team (John Re, Sammi Re, Matt Re, Jason Re, Mike Wolfensohn, Leo Wolfensohn, and Ben Wolfensohn) captured the Gardner Marks trophy, winning the dodgeball tourney!  (Pictures will be posted soon!)

For more information on Evan's Team, please visit their website at: http://www.evansteamny.com.

Dusk to Dawn 2018

Softball Tournament and BBQ

Throughout her life, Dawn Re was always game for any kind of endurance challenge to raise money for the fight against cancer. Whether it was riding a bike 111 miles in Tucson, playing softball in the snow or staying up all night walking in circles around the track, she always attacked each event with a smile and the thought “How can I make this fun?”  That was the inspiration behind “Dusk to Dawn,” an all-night softball marathon and barbecue.

Teams participating in the tournament will be assigned a game slot to compete against "Dawn's team."  (Yes, Dawn's team will play all night!)  The team that scores the most runs in a win against Dawn's team will win the tourney!  It's that simple.

The event is scheduled to run from 5:00pm on Friday September 7th until 8:00am on Saturday morning September 8th. 15 hours of Coed softball -- playing with wood bats and the 16” Chicago style softball.

We will be playing at the New Castle Recreation Field, 200 South Greeley Avenue, Chappaqua, New York.

The donation to enter your team is $900.  (However, for game slots starting after 10:01pm on Friday night (through Saturday morning), the donation to enter your team is only $750.) There are only 15 spots available; registration is on a first come, first served basis. Each game will have a strict 1 hour time limit.

Players must be at least 17 years old to participate in this event.

To register your team, please send a check made payable to "Dawn's Ray of Hope" along with your team registration form (see link to the right) and roster to:

Dawn's Ray of Hope/Dusk to Dawn
        P.O. Box 77
        Chappaqua, New York 10514

Don't have a team but want to play? No problem! Enter as a single player (the fee will be $75 per player) and we will put together a team for you!

Don't play softball but want to help? Again, no problem! We are looking for a variety of volunteers to make this event run smoothly.

And whether you play softball or not, please come on down to watch the games and enjoy the barbecue

Sponsorship opportunities are available and welcome. (See link to the right.)
